Music at Sutton

Music at Sutton School

In EYFS and KS1 all pupils have music lessons within their usual weekly timetable. They will learn a range of skills to build on as they go into KS2. They also perform a Christmas Nativity play to parents. In KS2 the classes have music each week with a music specialist. They learn a range of musical skills, using a variety of percussion instruments and also have the opportunity to use the school ukuleles. Time is also spent singing as the voice is also an important instrument. KS2 go to the church for a Christmas Carol Service and perform in an end of year production.

All children have the opportunity to take part in weekly choral worship, focusing on the songs used as part of collective worship.
